Summer Vacation | Dallas Wedding Photographer

This summer has been a crazy one, that's for sure! I don't know why I thought it would be a good idea to take 9 hours worth of classes over the summer, but I did it anyways. And I am  FINALLY done. On top of my crazy schedule, the boy has also been gone all summer leaving me to fend for myself :P He's been working at a youth camp running sound for the worship band. And I couldn't be more proud of him in his response to God's call to serve. It has been a little rough not seeing my best friend all summer though. So when he had last week off, I took off work too so we could spend the whole week together "vacationing" ;) Since we couldn't actually go on vacation, we went on little day trips and picnics and super cute things like that all wekk. Our first day of vacation, we went out to Granbury to do a little shopping, but we also fell across this little gem. It was just this little open field that was supposed to be a park next to a little canal, river area. And in the field were two houses that had been placed there. They were some sort of historical houses because one had a plaque that said "Walker Home built before 1898." So of course I said we had to go take some pictures by it. And my man has a way with the camera! He took all the pictures of me and they turned out quite lovely. Thanks babe for my week of vacation and for taking an interest in this passion of mine. I am blessed by your love and encouraged greatly by your leadership. :)

Dallas Portrait Photographer | Heather

Today is my kind of day. Rainy weather, cool breeze, sporting the whole shorts and cardigan look. You know those super cute summer outfits you see on Pintrest with the shorts and the cute long sleeve button ups? Yeah, in Texas, those outfits don't exist. Skip the long sleeve and wear a tanktop because it's so hot. But today I got to pull off one of those outfits and I was excited. Ha ;) I am not the typical "Yay Summer!" kind of girl. I prefer fall/winter much more! Better clothes, an excuse to cuddle, and a warm cup of coffee becomes a staple accessory. It's a problem I know.. ;) However, as much as I love winter weather, nothing beats the warm sun and the gorgeous greenery the summer brings to my photography. So without further ado, meet Heather. She's a super cool, seriously motivated, aspiring actress who just happens to make a gorgeous model! She was in need of some head shots, so we made a little mini session out of it. I would say it was pretty successful thanks to her. :)

Arlington Child Photographer | A'riel

Can I just say that this little guy is simply precious. I briefly introduced you guys to him here, but to continue his story -- His name name is A'riel and he is just a little ball of energy. It was a nice little work out just keeping up with him and his need to run around non-stop. But boy is he a cutie! A'riel's mom, Lucy, wanted to get some pictures of A'riel for his 2nd birthday so when she asked me, of course I was all in for spending the after with him. I don't get to take pictures of children very often, but I'm glad I was able to do a shoot with this little guy. We ran around, played on the playground, and all kinds of fun stuff. Thank you Lucy for letting me take pictures of your very handsome son!
